"The controls will end sooner or
later," but in the meantime, "the motivation that led us to
share them with Slovenia and Croatia remains because the
international scenario suggests, on a route of particular
sensitivity, to maintain high attention," said Italian Interior
Minister Matteo Piantedosi today. Piantedosi responded to a
question about border controls on the sidelines of the Istrian
Union's 70th anniversary celebrations.
